David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
