Formal charges have been brought against two men following a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.

A young child was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
