Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his team members.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his management team confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the global fight fans offered condolences for the fighter in the following the heartbreaking incident.
